The Restaurant for Rosabel’s Rooms – laughter, food & memories
Just last week AJLA Restaurant was filled with noise and laughter at a special event to raise funds for the amazing Rosabel’s Rooms, a charity set up by Suzanne McClean & Gary Monroe in collaboration with the Irish hospice after the loss of their little girl, Rosabel, in April 2016.
“The Restaurant for Rosabel’s Rooms” welcomed guest judges Ollie Turner, Galway Bay FM, Joanne Murphy, Tri Talking Sport and Mandy Maher, Catwalk Model Agency. The judges thrilled with their commentary, humour and dissection of the specially created menu.
Mystery Chef for the event was the delightful Meghann Scully – Galway girl & limerick lady her main tagline but known to us as published author, radio host, newspaper columnist and overall wonder girl, the list of her accolades just goes on! Delightedly she was awarded 5 Stars from the judges when introduced to the room at the end of the evening.
The room was alight with fun and chat as all attempted to guess who was cooking in the kitchen. The menu included halloumi salad, prawns with Mediterranean flavour, Barbary Duck, pan-fried Hake, Chocolate fondant and a surprisingly popular Apple pie cheese board!
The event was completely sold out and 100% of the funds raised through the raffle and ticket sales goes directly to the charity. The team at AJLA are delighted that almost €6500.00 is going to Rosabel’s Rooms and their initiatives to help families in their journey through child loss, more information on https://hospicefoundation.ie/rosabels-rooms
Thank you to all who attended, to those who gifted raffle prizes and above all to Suzanne and Gary whose courage and strength is gifting hope and a voice to all who journey through child loss.
