As the end of March arrives, we find ourselves in a strange space, uncertain, poised, paused. It is almost difficult to remember the daily race of previous weeks, against a now unheeded clock, oddly time still holds us as we adjust to its new pace.
In AJLA we are juggling the little misses with writing plans for the new normal, as we’ve come to describe what lies ahead. March is usually an exciting month, green leaves of spring with many celebrations that seem to kickstart the freshness of the seasons ahead – St. Patricks day, Mother’s Day and confirmation days. For now, we are on hold with many celebrations but hopefully we will get to celebrate them again, with even more delight and excitement as we truly know the importance of marking special events and special people.
As we journey through this time, we have a chance to rest and reset, an opportunity to reflect on the simple things that make life a precious journey. We are thinking of you all, with hope, as we travel this road in solidarity with each other, reminded of the amazing generosity of people, the determined support we share and friendships that carry us all through.
To our amazing front line teams, you have always embodied the nurture and vocation of your professions, now you lead the way. Every day you inspire us, showing true courage and compassion. There will never be a loud enough way to say, “Thank you”, your actions gift us our future, mile buiochas,
